How can I unistall 'Disk Cleaner' on my Mac (OS X 10.10.3).
Dragging the Icon from the Applicationslist to the Paperwaste/Paper bin doesn't do the trick...

Thank you

    Hi Kagi,

What happens when you drag it to trash bin?

    Let me know,
    James

    Hi James,

    thanks for asking.
Today (after computer restart) everything worked fine. I could delete/deinstall 'Disk Cleaner' without any problems.

    This threat can be closed.

    Regards

    Hello Ady,

You must choose your Home user folder. So the folder you have to choose should be named your name.

    I hope this helps,
    James

I dont understand what you mean by "home user folder". If you look at my screen grab in my devious post theres nothing named "home user folder". It doesn't allow me to select any of the folders. It also won't allow me to close the app. It won't even let me force quit?
    Thanks for your help

You need to select you home user directory. Your home user directory will be your name.

Search your name in the search field, and select that folder.

I am unable to delete Disk Cleaner, v 1.1.1, from my iMac (OS X 10.10.4).

I have tried dragging it from the Applications folder to the Trash icon but nothing happens.

    Hi Bernie,

Open Launchpad and drag it to the trash. It will ask you for confirmation via a popup message, you must click "Delete".

    I hope this helps,
    James

    Hi Ady,

The folder exists on all Mac's. The folder you are looking for is probably called "Ady Fletcher". You need to select that folder as that is your Home user folder.

Search for "Ady Fletcher" and select that folder within the app.

    +

Also if you having trouble quitting the application try "Force Quit", available through the Apple icon menubar option.

    I hope this helps,
    James

Can someone please close this thread?
I am the thread starter and my problem is solved.
It's annoying to get mails about other peoples uninstall problems.

    Thank you.
