No 7-pass
I just started using File Shred and I'm concerned it's not doing what it should. I've used other shredders in the past, including what OSX used to do. All of them took considerably longer than a regular empty trash due to the multiple writes. File Shred seems empties the trash just as fast just as immediately as OSX "Empty Trash". It appears it is not doing any multiple writes at all despite having 7-pass erase selected.

You can use Command ⌘ instead of Control ^ on Mac

Rest assured all files are erased according to your specified settings. Our algorithm uses new methods for erasing files which is why it is faster then other older applications.
